MEAD JOHNSON SUPPLIER REGISTRATION PRIVACY POLICY

Your privacy is important to Mead Johnson. Mead Johnson collects personal and sensitive information from its sole proprietor suppliers and from its suppliers who are members of business partnerships. Below is information regarding the type of personal and sensitive information we collect and an explanation of how Mead Johnson will use and retain this information.

Personal and Sensitive Information Collection

We may collect the following kinds of personal or sensitive information:

- information about your use of this system, including when you have accessed this system and the areas in the system you access

- information that you provide to help us administer your registration, including your home address, home telephone number, personal credit information, social identification number, age, references, and similar information,

- any other personal information that you may send to this site.

Personal and Sensitive Information Use (address dissemination)

Mead Johnson may use your personal and sensitive information to:

- determine your eligibility to participate in our supplier program

- enable your access to and use of this system;

- respond to legal inquiries or investigation requests including this information to the extent allowed by applicable law; and

- maintain information about you that we are required to maintain by, or to report to, government agencies.

Personal and Sensitive Information Disclosure

Mead Johnson may disclose your personal and sensitive information to its agents or sub-contractors for the purposes identified above. If we do, the agent or sub-contractor in question will be required to sign a written agreement obligating them to use your personal and sensitive information in accordance with the terms of this Policy.

Mead Johnson will not disclose your personal and sensitive information for any purpose unrelated to evaluation of you as a supplier, or your registration as a supplier, without your prior written consent.

In addition to the disclosures reasonably necessary for the above purposes, Mead Johnson may disclose your personal and sensitive information to the extent that it is required to do so by law, in connection with any legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings, and in order to establish, exercise, or defend its legal rights.

Cross Border Transfer of Information

Your personal and sensitive information may be electronically transferred to Mead Johnson’s international offices and accessed by authorized Mead Johnson personnel outside of your home country, as well as within it, for the purposes identified above. Outside of the European Union and Canada, laws and practices relating to the protection of personal data are likely to be different and in some cases may be less stringent. Any such personal or sensitive information transfers shall occur in accordance with this Mead Johnson Privacy Policy.

Information Security and Retention

Mead Johnson will take reasonable technical and organizational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse, or alteration of your personal and sensitive information. Mead Johnson or its authorized third party will store all the personal and sensitive information you provide on its secure servers and will use encryption technology as necessary. This software contains processes and features to protect your personal and sensitive information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, wrongful disclosure, wrongful alteration, or wrongful destruction. Users of this system will only be allowed access with a unique personal password and will be able to access only the data appropriate to that user based on business function and identity. Mead Johnson will use your personal and sensitive information only to the extent necessary, and only to perform the legitimate business purposes listed above.

Mead Johnson will retain your personal and sensitive information only as long as necessary, in accord with Mead Johnson’s internal records retention policies and in accord with applicable laws and regulations.

Right of Access

We will provide you with access to your personal and sensitive information maintained by Mead Johnson as required by applicable law.

Enforcement

Violation of this Privacy Policy will subject Mead Johnson employees to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. The services of third-party service providers or contractors may be terminated in the event they violate this Policy. Mead Johnson will conduct periodic reviews, audits and assessments to verify compliance with this Privacy Policy.

Your Consent

You consent to Mead Johnson’s collection, use, disclosure, and retention of your personal and sensitive information as detailed here and you agree to the cross-border transfer of your personal and sensitive information as detailed here.

Updating This Policy and Corrections to Information

Mead Johnson may update this Privacy Policy by posting a new version on this site. Please check this page periodically to ensure you are familiar with any changes. As part of the review process, you may correct, supplement or delete inaccurate information by making any such request in writing to the person listed above.

Definitions

“Sensitive information” consists of data relating to racial or ethnic origin; criminal activity or proceedings; political opinions; religious or philosophical beliefs; trade union membership; or data concerning health or sexual life or orientation.
